Morgens um 721 Uhr fahre ich von Lübeck über Schönberg, Blankenberg, Bützow, Güstrow, Lalendorf, Waren, Neu-Strelitz nach meinem Ersatz-Bataillon in Alt-Strelitz. D.h. von Neu-Strelitz auch muß ich die letzte Etappe nach Alt-Strelitz zu Fuß zurücklegen. Hier melde ich mich auf unserer Schreibstube. Meine Kameraden sind schon alle entlassen. Ich lasse mir einen Quartiersschein geben und übernachte bei einem Bauern. Hier erhalte ich eine gute Verpflegung.
At 0721 in the morning I travel from Lübeck via Schönberg, Blankenberg, Bützow, Güstrow, Lalendorf, Waren, Neu-Strelitz to my reserve battailon in Alt-Strelitz, so I have to walk the final way from Neu-Strelitz to Alt-Strelitz. Here, I report at the orderly office. My comrades already all have been discharged. I ask for billets and spend the night on a farm. I receive very good meals.

Alle 7.21 del mattino da Lubecca vado al mio battaglione di riserva a Alt-Strelitz via Schönberg, Blankenberg, Bützow, Güstrow, Lalendorf, Waren, Neu-Strelitz, così devo fare a piedi il tragitto da Neu-Strelitz a Alt-Strelitz. Qui mi metto a rapporto dall'ufficiale di picchetto. I miei compagni sono già stati congedati. Cerco un alloggio e passo la notte in una fattoria. Mi danno del buon cibo.
