The last evening, that I am to spend with the Uckermanns. To say farewell, we have a bottle of wine together; I play the piano again. In the late evening, I say goodbye to the people and thank them for all the good they have done to me. I am invited to return in summer. Dorchen accompanies me outside, she presents me with a picture of her and two packets of cigarettes and then it is time for goodbye.
AntwortenLöschenWow, this is not what did expect!
AntwortenLöschenI thought he would somehow try to stay a little longer there, asking for discharge or whatever; the January 3rd post states that many ahve sought for discharge during the march home and that is had been granted. Well, a picture of hers clearly has some "do not forget me"-aspect, let's see how this develops. Maybe he just returns home to sort out things and then returns?
