455 Uhr nachmittags Abfahrt von Lübeck. In Altona habe ich 2 Stunden Aufenthalt. Von Bremen ab fahre ich zusammen mit Hauptfeldw. Sello (Hindenburg!), der unsere Ausbildung in Munster Lager vor 2 Jahren leitete.
0455 p.m. departure from Lübeck. At Altona, I do have two hours waiting time. From Bremen on, I travel together with Hauptfeldwebel Sello (Hindenburg!), who led our education 2 years ago in Münster.

Now this entry is really amazing. It is unique in two aspects:
AntwortenLöschen1. It is the first note that tells us something about the time between 1919 and 1939, since it refers to something in 1937.
2. Obviously, Dieter had some kind of a training in 1937. Dieter was not really a young guy ready for action at that time. So I assume he was kind of volotarily taking part in that training.
Alternatively, might it be that already in 1937 battle-hardened veterans were collected to be squad leaders in the time to come? This has also historically interesting aspects!
