Wegen einer geringfügigen Ohrenerkrankung soll ich mich zwecks einer ärztlichen Untersuchung ins Feldlazarett 285 nach Notre Dame de Liesse begeben.

Natürlich nehme ich gleich meine sämtlichen Sachen mit, da ich wohl nicht in den nächsten Tagen zurückkommen werde. Ich mache mich zu Fuß auf den Weg von Bruyères über Athies, Samoussy, Gizy nach Notre Dame de Liesse. Dort suche ich das Feldlazarett auf und erfahre hier, dass sich die Ohrenstation nicht mehr in Liesse befindet. Die nächstgelegene Ohrenstation soll sich in Hirson befinden. In der Übernachtungsstelle am Bahnhof verbringe ich die Nachtstunden .

Because of a minor ear disease I am to report at the field hospital 285 at Notre Dame de Liesse for medical examination.

Of course I take all my belongings with me, since I am not likely to return the next days. I start walking from Bruyères to Notre Dame de Liesse via Athies, Samoussy, and Gizy. There, I search for the field hospital just to learn that the ear department is no loger at Liesse. The closest ear treating department is said to be in Hirson. I spend the night at the sleeping point at the train station.

A causa di un lieve problema di udito devo recarmi all'ospedale da campo nr. 285 a Notre Dame de Liesse per esami medici.

Naturalmente mi porto dietro tutte le mie cose, dato che non credo potrò tornare nei prossimi giorni. Parto a piedi da Bruyères verso Notre dame de Liesse via Athies, Samoussy e Gizy. Qui cerco l'ospedale da campo, giusto in tempo per sapere che il reparto ORL non esiste più a Liesse. Dicono che il più vicino reparto sia a Hirson. Passo la notte nel dormitorio della stazione.
