When I saw the photo, I thought "That's the sort of building that an army would regard as useful for billets", but by the time Jünger got there in 1917 it's been reduced to the cast-iron skeleton. <br /><br />Just the sort of feature that armies, speaking out of the other side of their mouths, tell their people to avoid because they are such obvious targets for enemy artillery.Roger O'Keeffenoreply@blogger.com
